Shapinsay has a very good network of small straight roads over a mixed terrain. These quiet roads and farm tracks lend themselves very well to cycling. A number of suggested biking routes have been prepared which use a mixture of rough tracks, shore side areas and tarmac roads. Guided tours by bike are also available.
